Kumquat Recipe 045 - Kumquat Tea

Katy Kumquat


10 kumquats
1 quart of water
Honey or sugar (optional)



Wash the kumquats and then slice them into halves. Remove any seeds from the halves.
Place the water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Then turn off the heat.  Squeeze most of the juice into the pot and then add the fruit.  Cover the pot and allow to steep for a few minutes.
Serve hot or let cool and then refrigerate.   
Add sugar or honey if desired.
Great treatment for a cold, if served hot with honey.
